CAMDEN — The Curtis Island Lighthouse Foundation has completed its Curtis Island Community Vision Report, describing that it is a comprehensive document that captures the collective aspirations of Camden residents for the future of Curtis Island.

CAMDEN — The Curtis Island Lighthouse Foundation, in partnership with the Town of Camden, announced the successful installation of a new flagpole on Curtis Island, completed over Memorial Day weekend.

CAMDEN — Camden resident Michael Skaling will share plans to historically restore the Curtis Island Light Station during a free Sunset Seminar presentation at the Camden Yacht Club at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 31.

Acting as a natural breakwater to Camden Harbor, Curtis Island has been an important coastal fixture to sailors for hundreds of years. Now, the island’s lighthouse, keeper’s house and other historic structures on the island need substantial restoration, according to the Curtis Island Lighthouse Foundation.
